We are deeply committed to equipping students with the essential knowledge to navigate the complexities of our democracy. This study guide is co-curricular, representing a firm dedication to supplementing existing "grade-level" learning in schools regarding the North Carolina 2018 Ballot Measures.

The subject of these Ballot Measures is one of significant controversy leading up to the election. We have published this study-guide to provide students with the crucial "landscape-value" of thoroughly understanding the pending legislative interests and activities.

This current events exercise is a pledge to support middle school and high school social science, civics, and government, working alongside teachers, students, parents, and program leaders. As an instructional supplement, the Civic Study & Legislative Response exercises will also serve as the gateway to the Student Empowerment Program online platform. This platform represents our ongoing commitment to providing seamless, updated information (#SocialStudiesKitsNC, #DigitalDemocracyNC) on the Midterms and other North Carolina legislative and executive branch interests. This online system ensures flexible, sustained opportunities for specific and creative lesson plans, which can be generated either from the "study guide as a co-curricular platform" or by the readers and teachers themselves. Our mission is unwavering: to empower the next generation of informed citizens.
